This works for some Adobe products, but didn't work for Robohelp 7 I had the issue with, so I'm not sure about Captivate, but you can give it a try Once the setup. Hope this helps! I am running in to an issue with Captivate 3 registration and updates after installing Adobe RoboHelp 7 in the same machine.

Here is how it happens. If I have only RoboHelp 7, then this works also.
